Biography:

I am excited to be the new Principal of Camden Middle School.  Previously, I served for four years as the Assistant Principal at Stover Middle, and two years as the Director of Alternative Education for the Continuous Learning Center & Virtual Academy.  This is my 13th year in education, all of them in Kershaw County.

I am proud that I am a product of the Kershaw County School District. My educational background beyond Kershaw County includes a B.A. from Newberry College and an M.Ed. in Administration from the University of South Carolina. My professional experience includes writing curriculum, leading professional committees, working with students of various talents and interests, and coaching multiple sports.

I am married to Amy Godwin Faulkenberry and we have two sons, Corbett and Hudson, and one daughter, Charlotte. 

I look forward to a great year with the CMS family as we strive to make our school the best it can be for our students, parents, teachers, and the overall community.

Lynley Jones-Blankenship

Biography:

Lynley Jones-Blankenship began her teaching career at Leslie M. Stover Middle School in 2011 as a sixth-grade science and mathematics teacher. In 2020, she joined the staff at the Continuous Learning Center as an elementary and middle school teacher, also serving as the testing, 504 and MTSS coordinator, and as a student advisor. Since 2022, Jones-Blankenship has served at Camden Middle School as a seventh-grade math teacher, sixth-grade math interventionist, mentor teacher, testing coordinator, SIC and PTO representative, and stand-in administrator. 

Jones-Blankenship earned a bachelor’s degree in education from the University of South Carolina, a master’s degree in teacher leadership from the University of Phoenix, a master’s degree in curriculum and instruction from Western Governors University, and a master’s degree in education administration from Grand Canyon University. She is currently pursuing a doctorate in teacher leadership in digital transformation from Capella University.

In 2021, she was named a KCSD Honor Roll Teacher. Jones-Blankenship completed the Kershaw County Developing Administrators Program and is a member of the Palmetto State Teachers Association.

Jones-Blankenship and her husband Trent reside in Elgin and are the proud parents of Haisley.

Emily Stover

Biography:

Emily Stover joins the Camden Middle School administrative team as an assistant principal with 12 years of education experience. She began her career as a high school social studies teacher in Rock Hill School District in 2013, before becoming a school administrator at York Comprehensive High School in 2022. Stover earned a bachelor’s degree in social studies education and Master of Education degree in Education Leadership from Winthrop University. She is a member of South Carolina Association of School Administrators (SCASA).
